Project
Liquid Helium Recovery System Restoration
Project Brief
Restored a dormant liquid-helium recovery system through hardware repair, calibration, and operating-path recovery.
Project Tech Stack
Approach
The project returned a neglected lab-infrastructure system to routine use by repairing failed hardware, recalibrating the recovery path, and re-establishing an operating configuration that could be measured and maintained.
Instead of treating helium loss as a background inconvenience, the restoration made recovery behavior measurable again and turned a dormant system back into stable experimental infrastructure.
That tightened both cost control and uptime for helium-dependent work by making the recovery path reliable enough for regular lab operation.
Outcome
Reduced operating loss by approximately $1,600 per month, cut helium losses, and improved uptime for helium-dependent experimental work through a restored and calibrated recovery system.
